Jeimy J. Batista

Jeimy Batista joined the Ombuds Office in October 2017 as Administrative Manager.  She is the initial point of contact for the Ombuds Office, coordinates the outreach for the office on each of Columbia's campuses, and manages all aspects of the office operations.  Jeimy has been a member of the Columbia community for fourteen years, working with students, staff, faculty and administration as the Assistant Director for Conference Services, Student Events & Outreach in the University Event Management Department and managing major events throughout the University.

Jeimy is a native of the Dominican Republic.  She earned a bachelor's in Accounting at PUCMM in the D.R., and a second bachelor's degree in Business Management at GIT in New York.  She completed the IOA Foundations of Organizational Ombuds Practice course in October 2017.  She is fluent in both Spanish and English.
